This blog is very personal and comes from the heart of a real fighting cancer patient who wishes nothing more than to live for all of those I love my own will to live, and my love of life. While sometimes I might be on heavy medication (prescribed by my doctor) and occasionally I might write about things or subjects that one may never even think about or consider; so please consider that as well. Yes; whacked out things might even be found here; but I mean everything in all good intentions.

This blog is not at all intended for the faint hearted, those who lack a sense of humor, have no idea what down to earth means, greedy mean people, and/or those who don't know how to share the world with others, and especially those who are unable to easily put themselves into the shoes of others. This blog is mostly about my journey of living my life in the best ways that I can under the Golden Rule and appreciating all of the GOOD KHARMA that comes my way! Never take anything in this world for granted; especially family and friends!

What to do on these hot, hot days...

I am not much of a summer person when the temperatures exceed 85 degrees. Well the temperatures were over 103 and total misery to be outside. We could really use some rain here in California but it just doesn't happen at all during the summer months.

Although I do remember a wonderful shopping trip with my neighbor's daughter in Los Gatos; it was a very hot day just like this and all of a sudden as if by magic, there was light sprinkle of rain for about 2-3 minutes. It felt like heaven had rewarded me with this wonderful refreshment. Amanda was feeling quite spoiled at the time and had told me to go to the car to get her an umbrella (no please included in that statement). I was just dancing in the rain as everyone else was all the while she was acting like the rain was melting her body and causing havoc. She didn't feel like getting wet and just stood underneath an awning while I acted a fool. I think she might have been quite annoyed that I wasn't going to get her an umbrella. It was such a very light rain and I finally told her to just lighten up and enjoy the moment for what it was (it's a gift). Finally the rain just stopped and there was no need for any umbrella. It was just our lovely refreshment of the day. Hope that happens again soon!

My friend Nikki came over with her kids and they had a blast in the swimming pool. They had it to themselves for most of the day. The water was 85 degrees and I decided not to get in because of all the children that do tend to swim in that community pool. I had been warned of bacteria inside of pools where lots of children swim. I could get another bladder infection from doing so; oh and by the way that infection I thought I had was just me healing with that stent in my ureter. I checked a new message from my doctor and it turned out that it wasn't an infection and he instructed me to get off of those antibiotics (Septra). I was getting some bad side effects from them like the vomiting and then those severe muscle spasms spontaneously came back. I just suffer from them a few times a day and at night. It's been happening for the last 3 days. I am up to 118lbs and still gaining but also still suffering from some pain. I had been scared that the vomiting would cause me to start loosing more weight again, but thankfully not.

Instead of getting in that contaminated water, I took tons of great photos with my Nikon Coolpix P80. What fun it was to take hundreds of great photos for my 2009 movie to send back to friends and family for this Christmas! I could not believe the quality of photos I was taking. There sure were Lots of great splashes by the kids and the adults and I got most of them!

I did have to get back on those dreaded pain killers (switching between the Vicodin and Percocet); but at least they are doing some good although they do tend to make me feel stupid and and like a total idiot at times. I don't like that feeling at all; if it were up to me I would rather just smoke pot but sometimes I really do need stronger stuff for pain and that can be quite unfortunate for a hard head like me.

On Sunday, we went over to Blue Belle's Boyfriend's house (Jagger's parents) to go swimming in their own personal swimming pool where no children have swam before; the water wasn't heated but the temperature outside was just under 103 degrees, the water did feel absolutely fabulous. I got to swim finally! I didn't feel any kid slobber or get lots of hair caught on my face as I was swimming. No pee bag to stop me and I had so much fun in the water.

I will have to to go shopping for a new swimsuit today (I don't have any that fit me properly) and we will be going to a movie today. My honey is off work on this particular Monday; so we get to spend some more quality time together before he has to go back on Tuesday.

I have been making him lunches and breakfast each morning before he goes to work and of course the coffee maker has been going off each and every morning. I just wish to take care of him as has of me over the months.

I really hate that sometimes I get such severe pain that it really scares him into thinking that I may need to go to the emergency room. (this happened last night). This is really hard on him too to see the love of his life in such severe pain. We had some really bad scares last night just to be honest from the muscle spasms (anal) which also led to some severe vomiting as I was going poo. I almost felt like I was drowning in vomit because it came out so violently. How unpleasant that was but at least I am still alive. It doesn't happen a whole lot lately; maybe 30 minutes of misery but then its gone for a little while. It happened maybe 3 times per day (last 3 days).

My poor bum gets to where it burns like hell too (like I squeezed out a couple of broken light bulbs) and I am forced to take those dam pain killers which I hate with a passion. I'm so scared of getting addicted. My honey gets really frustrated at me for being so hard headed about those pills but I just can't help it. At least I am able to have fun for part of the day and then part of the day I'm stuck on the toilet and the puke pan. I know in my heart that I will get through these rough patches and rough patches they are. Not exactly easy to go through and sometimes I make the most irritating noises of pain but I need to try to calm those down and just tough it out.

Well I should go for now as we are planning a fun day today and hopefully no snags (pains or poos) will stop us! I'm going swimsuit shopping and we plan to go to see "The Hangover" later on today. We both could use a really good laugh of good adult humor!

Well we saw the movie and I give it 3 stars out of 5. It was just OK. I didn't laugh much and nearly fell asleep. I hate when movies get all this hype and you really do expect a good laugh all the way through the movie. Most of the reviews for this movie had A+ and that who ever saw the movie laughed all the way through the movie. It was literally one good review after another for like 3 pages on Yahoo Reviews.

I was initially scared to see the movie because I was scared I might rip my tummy laughing. I nearly did for a movie we watched via Netflix just the other night "Nick & Nora's Infinite Playlist". This movie was so awesome and my honey and I laughed all the way through this movie. It was so much better than I expected for teeny bopper movie. It was really cute and totally hilarious. It kind of brought us back to when we were teens and how it was back then.

Movies can be so great to enjoy when your life can be hell sometimes. They can literally take you to another world all together and make you forget all of your problems even for just 2 hours. I have always been a movie buff and when I was young I worked in Movie Rental Store for over 5 years. That was one of my favorite jobs; the pay wasn't good, but being able to watch movies was better than the pay could have ever been.

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist was so surprising to see in how detailed this movie was right down to the drunk girl being locked inside a Yugo; guys trying desperately to get her to unlock the doors and then her best friend going "Bitch Open the fucking door!" It worked! That was the most beautiful scene ever! We laughed so hard and my tummy didn't hurt so bad but it did feel good to just laugh my ass off completely. Laughing is so awesome and I'm so convinced it really is the best medicine ever! We sure as hell did not laugh our asses off at this Adult humored movie "The Hangover". I just didn't get it? What the hell was so funny about that movie? I tried to find the humor, but missed it completely. Maybe it's because I'm a woman but nothing worked for me in that movie; I couldn't relate? I'm just happy that I at least got to see one funny as hell movie movie with my honey this weekend!) Thank you Netflix!

Ohhh So Sexy....

You know I have seen hundreds if not thousands of movies and photos with sexy men and this has to be the sexiest butt I have ever seen. This photo does not even do it justice; totally mesmerizing!)

I took a bunch of photos (not so many came out good on my iPhone) while my honey wasn't looking as he vacuumed these area rugs. I was feeling crappy on the couch last night as my honey vacuumed the living room, stairs, and all the rugs in the house, then he cleaned my kitchen, both bathrooms (& toilets) and then I got thrill and it made my bladder infection actually feel good for a little while. I got hot and bothered watching him do housework all around me. It was so cute!

He did serve his 4 years in the Army and when he cleans the house; he calls it a GI party. All the many things I treasure most about him!) We have one of those now twice a month. It could increase to once a week, but we will see. He's doing a fabulous job taking care of me!) I'm lucky even though sometimes it might seem like I'm not.

Notice: NO PLUMBER BUTT! I can only be so proud. It seems plumber butt is the new fashion statement that actually makes me feel so old. I'm that Old Lady that just can't get it; why is everyone wanting to show off their Plumber Butt? I can't get into plumber butt; not even for myself. I don't wish to punish anyone but them having to see my bony ass; or my fat ass as it got to be a few times; I even cover up my nephostomy bag most of the time.

UPDATE: My doctor did call me today with results of the culture from my urine test that I took on Monday. This particular bacteria strain is actually resistant to both Cipro and Septra. I got prescribed Macrobid which has been tested to be effective on this particular strain. I can't wait until it starts working. I have only taken 1 today and I also took a Septra this morning (4 pills total since Monday).

I am still having pain pee sessions (feeling like I have to pee, a little comes out and then youch!!!( What horrible pain and it makes me jump and scream every time. Tonto has not been digging this at all. I can tell he is worried about me and of course Miss Blue Belle. Can't wait for that medicine to start working! I am grateful that the pain isn't totally constant but for most of the day; I get that urge to pee and it burns!( I can be out walking around and then feel that urge to go pee and then nothing or a few drops come out. It's so painful! It's just a matter of time before those horrible bacteria is killed off and I can finally get some relief what I pee!)

I do have a little better control on the Projectile Organs lately. Still doing the Klonopin which is working pretty good for that painful crap to have to go through. Yes, it starts with having to go number 2 and then it gets more and more violent if I don't do something for pain right away. Maybe it's my intestinal system having an anxiety attack and that's why this is working for right now?

I did get a visit today from the nicest nurse (Ellen) and she had to release me today because I am now ready to be off home health. I can get around the house much better and can even drive myself places. From now on as far as the nephostomy bag is concerned; I will need to go to Interventional Radiology once a week for changing. This nurse was so full of heart, compassion, and just a wonderful person all around. Just another example of how I can appreciate wonderful nurses.

Now she has come over the last 3 times to change my dressing on my back of course Miss Blue Belle loves her and this time she thought Nurse Ellen had come over to see her instead of me. I had to tell Blue Belle to go sit on her rug until she was finished fixing me. As she was fixing me; I got to talking to her about my frustration with cleaning myself. It's almost like I'm not allowed to all because it forbidden for me to get my back wet. I could easily get a serious infection from those tubes.

The worst thing about this whole Nephostomy bag is not being able to shower. Right now I feel I just taking "HO" baths for that last few weeks and it's definitely not the same. I feel so dirty and disgusting sometimes. My honey always tells me that I'm not at all and still the sexy wonderful woman he married. No my bathing is not exactly like the Urban dictionary says it (that's pretty disgusting; but then again I haven't showered in weeks), but basically using a wet rag and going over it with soap and then a clean wet rag, then a dry off. I was able to sit in the bathtub (but not anymore since this infection = it's prohibited now). I want to shower so bad!

I can't get my back wet at all; and we will have to figure out a way to cover everything up. The nurse was so compassionate as I cried telling her of my frustrations of not being able to bath normally. She showed my honey and me how to change the catheter thingy on my nephostomy bag and just disconnecting it; cleaning and sterilization, then putting a dry wash cloth and wrapping it up with some plastic wrap, or one of those freezer bags cut just right to cover and taped. She was so full of wonderful ideas and even gave us her card if we needed any more help. She would do her best to help us; so incredibly accommodating to us. I guess she could see the love in our home. We will be trying some of those techniques tomorrow; I just have to be a dirtbag another night!(

I was able to wash my hair yesterday over the bathtub and can only do this about every 3 days. When my tummy was burning; it is very hard to do and sometimes my honey will help me if I ask him to.

At least I am not in the severe pain I was in yesterday. It's improved some for the time being. I'm still excited that I at least got aroused last night from a sexy man doing my housework!) Happy moments in life work for me; if it's just laughing, enjoying good conversation, or just sitting there relaxed and not feeling pain is good enough for me. I am still enjoying life and although much of this is scary; I still have HOPE in my heart that I'm going to get stronger and beat this disease!) Things will get better!)

It's the wrong medication...

Sunday night I managed to not get a temperature; however I tossed and turned and sweated like a pig for most of the night. I was soaking wet and my bed and sheets were wet which may have kept my temperature down since I was freezing when I awoke. Each time I woke up in the middle of the night I checked my temperature and each time it was normal which is very good. This encouraged me that perhaps I'm getting better! Finally!)

Yesterday morning I took my Cipro and then about an hour later my mouth started watering like crazy and I instantly knew what that meant. Its was that hot nasty tasting water we all so familiar with. I held my torn right side tight as I puked and puked. It even came out of my nose and I instantly felt weakened but since what had been making me sick was finally out of my system; I started to slowly improve through out the day. I ate some chicken and rice but really couldn't stomach it all that well. I had forced myself to eat and to drink.

I emailed my doctor to let him know that I puked and quite possibly puked up the Cipro. He called me back to let me know that my urine analysis results were in and the Cipro had only a 50% chance that it would cure my infections. According to the the test that drug was not at all effective on my bladder infection. It might cure my kidney but not my bladder. Cipro is a pretty heavy duty drug and this was the drug that the government was going to be stockpiling during the Anthrax scare.

My doctor explained to me that the torn muscle on my right side is actually my sore liver had cancer scraped from it. This makes some sense and that's where my liver is located. The new drug is supposed to be 100% effective and I hope to be on the road to recovery soon. The new drug is a mouthful but I call it Septra or Sulfamethoxazl/tmp .

So far I still feel nauseated but am still forcing myself to eat and to drink more; I'm up to 115lbs which is a few pounds more. Just a few more pounds here and there and I will eventually make it past 120.

I was also delighted to turn on the news and to watch the new photos of White House puppy which certainly brightened my day along with my husband and pets. Just being home with them healing makes me feel better despite everything else. I took it easy yesterday and didn't do much more than get up go to the bathroom and tried walking up and down the stairs to get myself stronger.

On Easter Sunday that nice caption was freed and those evil pirates were killed which is what they deserved for being greedy and evil. I am so proud of my country for handling this situation so well. Taking people and trading them for money is wrong and there is no need for that. Pull your own weight and do good for the world; don't take and steal from others.

Also for the first time in a few years this year we will getting a tax refund instead of paying more heavily since we are middle class! Yippee!) Even from State!

I did run a fever twice last night several hours apart and it only got up to 102. We got through them with the Extra Strength Tylenol and cold compresses. I am hoping that this new antibiotic will help stop these fevers once these infections are gone.

Today is a new day for healing. I went to see the internist today to find out what I can do about gaining some weight. He is putting in a referral for a nutritionist who can finally help me with my problem. He suggested several medications for my diarrhea and the whole deal of food going in and out so quickly and of course heartburn. After I have settled down with this new antibiotic there is another medication that I can take that can help keep me from getting more infections because of bile build up. Part of my small intestine which attaches to the colon was removed and therefore nutrition absorption is next to impossible in my situation and this medication may change that and this gives me hope. Each day is hopeful even though I get discouragement on many days; I'm still blessed to be alive!

My techniques and treatments work simply for me and may not produce the same results for others. Cancer is a very tricky disease in which it is very different in everyone it touches. No two cancers are the same just as we humans are not the same. What works for me may not work for others.

I love life and expect to live for as long as I can. I intend to use those treatments that do work for me which includes medicinal cannabis. I'm still alive with this disease over 7 years later because of this miracle plant and as long as I have my medicine available; I intend to survive many more years. I hope one day the Federal Government will eventually grow up and be led by true leaders who represent the people and not just coorporations; real people who live by the Golden Rule "treat others how you would want to be treated". I also hope the Government of the US can finally learn to admit that it has made a mortal mistake in making this life saving plant which is provided by GOD and does indeed have the ability to provide all of us with food, fuel, clothing, shelter, and medicine; a mistake that have made is that it is illegal. Yes, it was a mistake out of greed, ignorance, and racism that this miracle plant is illegal. This is a confirmed fact and we should all know and face it.

Cannabis is not at all harmful and in fact quite the opposite. Perhaps our economy can once again grow as it has in the turn of the century by making this life saving plant legal once again.
